GLOBAL PROGRAM for exchange students of the 
V4 region

Please note that the academic year for students coming in the fall for one year period is until August 5 (dates may vary). However V4 and Erasmus+ students returning to their home countries in the beginning of August can complete their courses by July 20.

GP COURSES

The core curriculum consists of courses in humanities (animation, film studies, literature, popular culture), business, language and linguistics (including translation), and the social sciences. Instructors from JIU and its sister institution Josai University, are joined on occasion by guest professors from universities outside Japan. All instructors regardless of affiliation hold advanced degrees from leading universities in North America, Europe, and Japan.
  Please note that the following list shows representative courses, but the program evolves to suit student interest and maintain academic currency.

  Course numbers in the 100-200 range are for students in the first half (1st and 2nd year students) of their studies, and course numbers in the 300-400 range are for students in the second half (3rd and 4th year students) of their studies.

Japanese language courses are split into 5 groups based on students’ language ability and experience. Basic Japanese I (Class A, B), Basic Japanese II (C, D), Intermediate Japanese I (A, B), Intermediate Japanese II (C, D), Advanced Japanese (A, B) etc. Students preparing for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) are encouraged to take the following courses too: JLPT course (A, B).

*Other classes: Requirement for courses offered in English is TOEIC 600 or higher, for courses offered in Japanese JLPT N2 or higher.
