On Monday, May 21, 2007, as the representative for the Asian region, Chancellor Noriko Mizuta attended the Management Committee meeting of the International Conference of University Women Presidents, held by the Communication University of China, in Kunming, Lijiang, as the representative for the Asian region.

The meeting was attended by Liu Jinan, President of the Communication University of China, and all chancellors representating the regions Europe, America, Africa, Asia, and others, attended. Despite being a minority in worldwide university administration, these female chancellor's all emphasized the need for educational innovation. They engaged in much fruitful discussion and decided to meet again in a fourth International Conference of University Women Presidents.
