Josai International University, Josai University, Guangdong Women’s Professional Technical College, and University of Oslo are presently planning a joint research project, mainly based at the Research Center for Contemporary Policy Studies, for which purpose a group from Guangdong Women’s Professional Technical College visited Japan from July 27 to August 2.

The goal of this project is to establish a program at higher education institutions with the aim of educating the human resources who can offer services in welfare for Japan’s aging society while enhancing relearning of women with a higher degree of professional training. For this purpose, the project team will compare nursing care and the circumstances of female care workers in Japan, Norway, and China, which suffer from dwindling birthrates and aging populations, and clarify such trends and problems. The joint research project will begin in September of this year.
