Since Chancellor of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Virginia S. Hinshaw was one of the panelists at both “A Global Dialogue - Women in Higher Education” held at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and the International Women’s Leadership Conference sponsored by the Governor of Hawaii, Chancellor Mizuta further strengthened ties with Chancellor Hinshaw.

Moreover, on September 25th, the welcome dinner which invited members of the Global Dialogue held at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, including Josai University, was hosted at the on-campus residence of President of the University of Hawaii System David McClain. Ms. McClain, the faculty of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, members of the foundation and others gave us huge welcome.

The University of Hawaii System is a state foundation for advanced studies which has 3 universities and 7 community colleges. The University of Hawaii at Manoa offers “the School of Travel Industry Management” which is highly reputed in the U.S. as a tourism course. We are planning to form ties between both faculties of tourism by the end of this fiscal year.
