2nd Meeting of the Josai-Dalian Northeastern Alumni Association

A Josai delegation led by Chancellor Noriko Mizuta attended the 2nd meeting of the Josai-Dalian Northeastern Alumni Association at a hotel in downtown Dalian.

Almost 100 members in all attended the event including current junior faculty and former students in the Japan-China Joint PhD program, recipients of the JMBA scholarship, graduates of the 2+2 Joint Education program, recipients of the Mukaibo Takashi Memorial Murai Takashi and Mizuta Mikio Memorial Mizuta Noriko Scholarships, and other former exchange students, as well as joint scholars and students of former Northeastern University President and renowned scholar of metallurgy and current special advisor to Josai University, Inoue Akihisa.

At the opening of the reception, Chancellor Mizuta, expressing her joy at meeting the alumni again stated, “In this rapidly changing global society, it’s my hope that you’ll work that you’ll trace a bold path in life and work hard to train your successors.” Prof. Chen Yan of the Japan-China Joint PhD program and Prof. Du Feng Gang of Dalian University of Technology professor and President of the Dalian Alumni Association also provided remarks.

Alumni gathered at this event are engaged in a wide variety of vocations such as professors at Chinese or Western universities or executives in Chinese global enterprise, to name a few, Josai University Educational Corporation’s human resource program is currently hard at work training the current generation of students to follow in the footsteps of these alumni. We are hoping that, by focusing our energy to extend alumni amity, we may contribute to the advancement of international exchange as well as economic and cultural development.
