We regret to inform you that the Honorary Chancellor of Josai University Educational Corporation, Seiko Mizuta, passed away on January 4th, 2013, at the age of 100.

Honorary Chancellor Mizuta was the second chancellor of the Corporation from 1976 to 2004, until her daughter, Dr. Noriko Mizuta took office as chancellor. She made outstanding contribution to the University and her dedication provided opportunities for several generations of students worldwide. We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to you all for your heartfelt condolences.

A private funeral was held among her family members and close relatives on January 7th, 2013.
