Special Lecture given at JIU through the Erasmus+ (Erasmus Plus) Program

 

 

 

 

Associate Professor of Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), Grazina Ciuladiene, visiting Josai International University on Erasmus+ Faculty Mobility Program, gave a special lecture at its Chiba Togane Campus on November 27th, 2018. The lecture, on Lithuanian history, cuisine and culture was well received by the students of the Department of Inter-cultural Studies, Faculty of International Humanities.

The Erasmus Program (Erasmus, European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) has long contributed to the development of international collaboration of students and teaching staffs within the European Union. In 2014, the Erasmus+ Program was launched to promote academic cooperation between EU universities and universities outside of the European region. This visiting lecture by Professor Ciuladiene is the direct result of Erasmus+ agreement between Mykolas Romeris University and Josai University Educational Corporation.

Mykolas Romeris University is the second largest national university in Lithuania, located in the capital city, Vilnius. Although Vilnius is a smaller city with population of 620,000 people, it has a long history, very rich culture and is known for the architecture in its Old Town, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.
