Josai University Educational Corporation, Josai International Center for the Promotion of Art and Sciences will hold the 2nd International Symposium for the Cikada Prize “Giving Word to the Inviolability of Life”.
In 2014, the First Cikada Symposium was held with support from Josai and discussions were held by Cikada Prize recipients about the poetic expressions in connection with “The Expression of the Inviolability of Life”. This year, we gather the recipients since 2014; Mr. Bei Dao of China, Ms. Hoang Thi Ý Nhi of Vietnam, and representatives of Japanese poetry; Mr. Shuntaro Tanikawa and Mr. Mutsuo Takahashi, for further discussion on “the Inviolability of Life.” Poetry readings by the panelists, interview video screening by Mr. Tota Kaneko and Mr. Yang Mu, are going to be held as well.
