第1回Soutache jewellery：”ソウタシエ”づくり
ヨーロッパの伝統的なブレード飾り刺繍、ソウタシエは、ヨーロッパ貴族のブラウスやジャケットの袖口や襟元に特殊な平紐（ブレード）で豪華な刺繍や飾りを施したものが始まりです。本講座ではソウタシエづくりの基礎を学び、実際にソウタシエジュエリーをつくっていただきます。（初心者向け）

Learn the basics of making beautiful soutache jewellery in this fun and creative workshop.
Soutache, (also referred to as 'Russian Braid') is a sewing-based technique of building layers of cords and beads. The threads can be curved and shaped into a range of patterns giving a stunning visual effect.
In this class I will guide you through all the basics and show you how to make a glamorous jewellery to take home with you. You will use a range of flat backed stones, beads, soutache threads, needle and thread, glue and fabric to make your jewellery - all things that are very easy to source and can be done from home after the class. Once you have learnt the technique you can use it to make a whole range of jewellery items.
Class is suitable for beginners.
第2回Paper making：ヨーロッパ風の紙づくり
ヨーロッパの紙づくり技術の基礎を学び、実際に紙づくりを体験します。
※講座は英語で行います。
In this workshop held in English, we will explore the history and process of handmade paper realisation. You will learn the basic techniques of European papermaking, including pulp preparation, sheet forming, pressing and air-drying. We will prepare pulp from various seasonal fibers. Participants will form their own sheets and explore the possibilities of embedding materials such as dried flowers and plants, thread, and seeds. We'll use a variety of dyes and pigments, making as many sheets of paper as we have time for! |
