The Graduation Ceremony and School Entrance Ceremony for September 2008 were conducted on Wednesday, September 17 at the Mizuta Memorial Hall on the Togane Campus in Chiba. JIU has introduced a semester system in which the school year is divided into two semesters, making it possible to matriculate and graduate in September as well.
This year’s ceremony witnessed matriculation by students from abroad hailing from eight nations: China, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Canada, England, Spain, Norway and the Philippines. Students from Dalian University of Foreign Languages and Tianjin Foreign Studies University will be studying at Josai for two years as a dual-degree programming making it possible to obtain a degree either at JIU or in China. In addition, students were matriculating from schools with which we have partner school ties, including University of Oslo in Norway, Konyang University in the Republic of Korea, and Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines.
