Prior to attending the Presidents’ Forum 2009 at Ateneo de Manila University, Mr. Katsuhiko Namikawa (Director of Planning of Josai Educational Corporation) and Professor Amadio Arboleda of Josai International University paid a visit on behalf of Chancellor Mizuta on January 22, 2009 to Mr. Feliciano R Belmonte, Jr., Mayor of Quezon City, where the university is located.

Quezon City has sister-city ties with Chiba City in Japan. The discussion with the mayor mentioned how Josai International University, which has a campus in Makuhari (Chiba Prefecture), has many opportunities in the future for exchanges in nurturing outstanding talent and others and giving its support in many areas.

Mayor Belmonte is a great Japan-fan and said he would do everything he can personally to encourage closer ties with Japan and with Chiba Prefecture.
