On November 17th 2009, the representatives from Josai, led by Chancellor MIZUTA visited Lille Catholic University in France. Chancellor MIZUTA and President Jean-Claude Thiriez of Lille Catholic University signed an academic exchange agreement during the visit.

Lille Catholic University whose main campus is in Lille, located just one hour from Paris by TGV, is the largest private university in France (with 18,500 enrolled students) established in 1875.

On the day of agreement, the representative faculty and staff from the two institutions gave introduction to each university and discussed potential academic exchanges in detail, ranging from the Agricultural Studies, Environmental Studies, Medical and Welfare Studies to Business-Communications Center.
