Academic Exchange Agreement with Szent Istvan University

On November 20th 2009, the representatives led by Chancellor MIZUTA visited Szent Istvan University located in the city of Godollo of Hungary. Dr. László Solti, the Rector of Szent Istvan University, and Chancellor MIZUTA signed an academic exchange agreement between the two institutions.

Szent Istvan University which resides in Godollo, a city located 30 minutes from Budapest by car, is Hungary’s largest agriculture educational institution. It has about 17,800 students enrolled and ranks among the top ten universities of the nation.

The Rector himself gave a presentation on the university, explaining that the university was established through the consolidation of a number of universities in the year 2000 and introducing its Hungarian, English and German courses, international student population, and main research areas.

The Josai representatives later paid a visit to Godollo’s city hall where they were given an introduction to the city. Then they were taken to a tour to the Summer Palace. The city officials also promised their support for promoting exchanges with Josai.
