Academic exchange agreement with the University of Cologne

On March 19th 2010, President Axel Freimuth and representatives from the University of Cologne paid a visit to Kioicho Campus.

Chancellor Mizuta and Dr. Freimuth signed an academic exchange agreement with the faculty members from Josai and Josai International University in attendance. Before the signing ceremony, the faculty and staff from the two institutions introduced each other and discussed ideas for future academic exchanges. Many other faculty members as well as students who wished to study abroad in Germany later joined the casual reception held afterwards at the basement.

Established as the fourth university of the Holy Roman Empire in 1388, University of Cologne has its reputation as one of the finest universities in Europe. This largest university in Germany has about 50,000 students and offers degrees in seven faculties (Law, Medicine, Hospitals, Management, Economics and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Arts and Humanities, and Human Sciences). We expect a variety of academic exchanges such as the exchange student program with the University of Cologne.
