On June 19, a Josai delegation led by Chancellor Noriko Mizuta paid a courtesy visit to Prague’s University of Economics in the Czech Republic.

Having formed an academic exchange agreement with the University of Economics in March, this visit served as a formal acknowledgment of the partnership. The Josai delegation met with Vice-Dean Hana Machková and Chair of the Faculty of International Relations Štépán Muller to discuss concrete plans for the implementation of an academic exchange program based in the social sciences.

Prague’s University of Economics was founded in 1919 and has an enrollment of roughly 20,000 students. The university emphasizes social sciences as its primary field of study. The university figures as an influential presence in the Czech political and financial worlds, having produced numerous leaders in these fields.
