JIU Celebrates the Opening of Kósa Ferenc’s Photo Exhibition “Pluralistic Space-Time”

On September 25, the Mizuta Museum of Art hosted an opening reception in honor of the new exhibition of Kósa Ferenc’s photographs, “Pluralistic Space-Time.”

Kosa Ferenc is one of Hungary’s foreknown and most prolific film directors. He began his career by winning the award for Best Director at the 1967 Cannes Film Festival for his film Ten Thousand Days. Kósa has also received much attention for his work as a photographer and his photos have been displayed at the National Gallery in Budapest. This particular exhibition introduces Kósa’s photos from Europe, Japan, other parts of Asia, Africa, North America, and all over the world.

Among members of the local community, Hungarian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Istvan SZERDAHELYI; Kósa Ferenc’s son, Kósa Balint; President of the Japan-Hungary Friendship Association, Yoshitomo Tanaka; and Kunihiko Kawazu Chief of the Eastern European Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who are also sponsors of the event. Hungarian exchange students currently enrolled at JIU also attended the event as a show of support.
