YTF and JASSO ASEAN Young Women Leadership Program・Certificate Ceremony and Farewell Party at Kioicho Campus

The Second Certificate Ceremony and Farewell Party of YTF and JASSO ASEAN-Young Women Leadership Program was held at Kioicho Campus on 27th February.
Five graduate students from Yayasan Tuanku Fauziah Foundation (YTF) Malaysia, attending Josai International University Graduate School of Humanities through Josai Young Women Global Leadership Training Program; and twenty undergraduate students from six ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thai and Vietnam) attending Josai International Universitiy’s Faculty of Management & Information Sciences through JASSO ASEAN Young Women Leadership Program completed their one-year special program.
These leadership programs aim to train global women leaders to connect between Japan and ASEAN in the future.
At the ceremony a completion certificate was conferred to each student by the President of Josai International University, Professor Kenji Sugibayashi.
President Sugibayashi expressed his best wishes and high hopes towards the students in being a global leader, where they can use their experiences earned at Josai.

After the certificate ceremony a farewell party was held and students from Myanmar performed a traditional dance, as well. During the party students and professors were discussing about how students could accumulate experiences not only in the fields of academic study, but also through various culture exchange programs during their stay here in Japan, too. From this April, two of the students will start their studies at Josai International University Graduate School, and some other students expressed their wish to come back to Japan during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games to connect between ASEAN and Japan, thanks to the good impression they have received about the Japanese educational system during their one year program.
